So for the Last day in my area, Ford was offering the Bucket List campain. That pretty much included a Survey, A drive around the Block in the Mustang of your Choice, and A free T-shirt or Nail polish. My Friend and Fellow Oppo Joshua brought me along with him after we attempted to study for class and since we were pressed for time we shared a car back to back.
First Impression, In person this car feels like the natural successor to the Mustang II, and what I mean by that is that it holds itself like an Aston Martin that got jiggy with a Pinto, or in this case a Fusion.... Not Literally of course, but it's a very attractive car and it's obviously a Mustang. Not an Accord. You have to see it and feel it in Person, especially in that Green in the First picture.
Stepping inside, The Cockpit is very welcoming for my 6'0 skinny self, behind my seat there is space to throw a duffel bag. Visibility is not lacking, I felt like I could handle myself if things got spiffy. Lots of Premium touch thingamabobs, and things that I could care less about in a Mustang. Which pretty much confirms that I would be better off in an older Mustang... This felt like My parents Yukon or my grand Parents Town car with Mustang cues. I felt comfortable. The Ford man was quick to show me the in seat A/C and Heater.... yaaaay
Driving: I picked the Ecoboost because the internet is afraid or ashamed of it, don't be. i'm pretty sure this car was filled to the Brim with all the track aids and the First thing that caught my eye was the brakes. They're catchy, there is no travel you can tap it and it will stop on a Dime. I floored it of course on the first straightaway I saw, no Hesitation the car shot forwards from 0-45 in as little as four seconds,( with three adults inside).
Handling is on point... I guess I pointed and it went. Very Firm and no play.
I asked the guy about the fake engine noises and he said that the car is designed to block out certain Frequencies that people found unwelcoming, like a really good pair of Headphones, the car blocks out those noises with counteraction and as a result we get the very convincing interior noises.
It wasn't a big deal for me, it has the acceleration to match the noises, and when you roll down the window it's Turbo Bliss.
result 8.5/10 Go buy one right now.... now excuse me... I'm going to look at fox Body listings

That green would make for a very pretty nail polish

Good review. There's one here in November and I'm tempted to go now. I'm really curious to see how an Ecoboost feels compared to my Mach.
I'm loving triple yellow.

Thanks you should go do it
Why are you hesitant, you show up with Proof you are road legal, you answer a Survey and are entered to win 10 large then you get drive a cool car.. for free.. then get free stuff :D
Who cares if it's worse than your Mach it's still fun.

Because I think at a dealer I could get a more extensive drive. But at the same time it does seem like it would be fun to go to on top of what you said. Were all of the cars autos?

I thought I read on forums that only the Ford people could give rides in the 5.0. Were just regular people able to drive it?

That's good. Looks like I'm going to try and go as long as anything doesn't come up.
